Horse Bracelet

I made this bracelet using one of Ingrid's (potterygirl1) rustic porcelain two-horse connectors.  I love it, it even has her fingerprints all over it - molded in the porcelain - a testament to her handmade goodiness.

I paired it with paint brush jasper and lots of my wirework.

Let me say again - I am no seed beader......but remember this necklace and earrings?

One of my good customers wanted this set, but she also wanted a bracelet to go with it.  She wanted it made like the new bead and leather bracelets are that are so popular now, but they are made with larger beads, not Size 8 seed beads.  And, I needed to work in the pattern.  Well, I figured I've overcome bigger obstacles than that and this is what I came up with.

The hardest part of making it was threading my needle three times.  But, I am very pleased with the way it turned out and she loves it.

Update on Justice.  She has been off the NSAID for about 36 hours now (she's still on the Tramadol) and she hasn't whimpered from pain in about three days.  She feels good, throws herself down on the grass on our walks and scratches her back and even manages to get into Jebadiah's face and scream at him when he's just being himself.  It is so wonderful - WONDERFUL - to have her feeling so well and apparently not in any pain.  Have I mentioned to you all that I love her, and Jeb and Sophie.....

I just love what you did. I, personally, hate using seed beads except as an occasional accent, because I have NO patience and know the beads would end up everywhere except where they should be.
I'm glad to hear about Justice. It's amazing how those furry little scalawags can worm their way into our hearts, eh?

Jean, the bracelet is gorgeous that you created for your customers, I really like that you duplicated the pattern. The first bracelet is beautiful too. You always inspire me!!

I think you are a seed beader! Great set! And the horse bracelet is fantastic!
So glad Justice is feeling better!

Beautiful pieces Jean! I wouldn't be too quick to say you're not a seed beader!! ;-)

I saw your post the other day that Justice wasn't feeling her best and I'm so glad to hear she's doing better. You all have been in my thoughts and prayers! My little girl Pepper is 15 and back in February she too was in so much pain she could barely move and cried every time she did. My vet thinks she may have had a ruptured disc—we never did an x-ray so I can't say for sure if that was it or not. I put her on an anti-inflammatory supplement at the same time I was taking her off the pain meds and while she still has some unrelated health issues, she has no more back and neck pain and is really looking great! We can never love our fur-kids too much!!

Wishing Justice all the best! :-)

Gorgeous pieces! Both have such a Western feel.
Glad JM is doing better! My hiking buddy is laid up on the couch after she cut both from feet in the snow on a hike yesterday. I feel like such a bad mom for letting her do it. She loves snow so!

Love your pieces!

I'm so glad Justice is doing so much better. Poor baby! Good news!

And I do think that even if you don't always enjoy playing with those seed beads that you are very good with them. :)

Love what you created with the seed beads very nice. I know what you mean about the hardest part is threading the needle:)
I made a mask once and decided to use seed beads for the hair I spent hours on that and then some strands came apart all over the floor. I have a lot of respect for beaders.
The horse bracelet is also gorgeous!
Give Justice a hug and a treat for me.
Glad she is feeling better♥
