Anklet Blog Hop

I am excited to participate in Kashmira Patel's Anklet Blog Hop and today is the reveal day.  I made several anklets for this challenge.  I started with some macrame ones and I have been wearing one for about two weeks now and I can't even tell I have it on any longer.

I learned that anklets need to be small, flexible, and smooth to be wearable.  You don't want them hurting the bones in your legs or snagging on things.

I used a variety of Czech glass beads and various seed bead combinations and waxed linen thread.

 Picasso drops.

 Top drilled teal coin beads.

I also used lobster clasps (very small ones) on the ones I used copper findings.
Black Czech glass flags with a brass clasp.
Silver rolo chain with psychedelic beads (you have seen these before), a pewter peace bead and a round clasp.

These are the first anklets I have ever made.
This was a fun challenge and I will make more of these.

Check out the other participants and see some beautiful anklets.

5!!! Awesome!!!
I wanted to try out some macrame too, but ended up making all of mine with chain. I love these, especially number 3 and 4...those colors just look gorgeous! And those flags are so unique!

I have some of those psychedelic beads too....keep wondering what to do with them...they're so umm...psychedelic! They look nice here :)

Thanks a bunch for joining in, Jean :)

I love them all. I must get myself some waxed linen I haven't worked with it yet but there are so many applications that it appears to be great for. Your anklets are one them. They have a look of boho fun to them.

Oooh, what a really neat design with those first several anklets. I like the layers of beads that you created yet still kept dainty.

For some reason anklets just scream macrame, and yours are just perfect! Wonderful job!
